Our Story
The creation of AOK GOURMET on the go - the premier catering company and café has always been my dream.
Working in an array of Chicago’s North Shore kitchens throughout my teenage years sparked my curiosity and love for fine food and great service. This passion and drive continued as I earned a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
After UNLV, I honed my skills working in Manhattan for an established high-end corporate catering company and continued this work upon my return to Chicago. The fast-paced atmosphere and demand for the highest quality product, catapulted my desire to create a signature catering company of my own. In 2003, my vision became a reality with Kalish Catering & Co.
In 2008, I expanded our operation to include a designer café, market, and a new name – AOK GOURMET on the go...
